Conference Information

This annual conference is a high-energy professional development experience that will engage participants in the process of thinking beyond traditional pedagogies by accessing and integrating innovative and emerging technologies throughout their practice.

This conference offers a full-day of hands-on learning sessions facilitated by pioneering teachers, college faculty and even a few K-12 students who will showcase and model how they have successfully reset their classrooms by integrating emerging technologies with effective pedagogies. Sessions offered throughout the day will focus on collaborative web-based learning activities, the repurposing of social networks as participatory learning communities and the utilization of digital media authoring tools as vehicles for student inquiry projects and self-expression.

In addition, the sessions will be differentiated for basic, intermediate, and advanced technology users. Teachers, administrators, and educational support staff would equally benefit from this conference.

Participants who complete the workshops are provided with five hours of professional development credit and given access to the MSU Learning Network. This online group focuses on supporting educators as they learn more about the power of emerging technologies and pedagogies to support learning and will allow for continuing the rich discussions emanating from participation in the day’s events.
